Education in New Zealand

New Zealand is internationally highly regarded for its first class education system, with its Private Training Establishments (PTEs), technical institutes and universities being recognised as world leaders in their fields.

The Role of the NZQA
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority coordinates qualifications in secondary schools and in post-school education and training, maintains national standards, evaluates overseas qualifications and administers national secondary examinations.

For more information about NZQA and its role within New Zealand Education, visit their site at www.nzqa.govt.nz

All of The Professional Bar and Restaurant Schools qualifications and educational
standards are accredited and monitored by NZQA.

Because of The Professional Bar and Restaurant School’s NZQA accreditation, you can be assured that the Hospitality Management qualifications that we deliver are credible, relevant, and robust, both nationally and internationally.

Hospitality Industry Accreditation
The Hospitality Standards Institute (H.S.I) is an industry-led training organisation (ITO). Their role is to develop and monitor NZQA unit standards and qualifications for the hospitality industry.

This means H.S.I  oversee, supervise, assist and review all Nationally Recognised training for chefs, waiters, porters, hotel receptionists, house-keepers, duty managers and bar persons.

H.S.I also provide ongoing support and guidance to The Professional Bar School as we are teaching and assessing Hospitality Unit Standards.
