Why PBRS?
Why the Professional Bar & Restaurant School is an Excellent Study Choice
The Professional Bar and Restaurant School provides students with world-class training and internationally recognised qualifications that are accredited by the NZQA. This enables graduates to enter the hospitality industry with competitive skills and qualifications that prepare them for success in their chosen hospitality management career path.
Our teaching staff are highly skilled professionals and internationally recognized leaders in their field, many of whom balance working in the industry with their tutorial responsibilities. The fact that they are actively practicing and networking within the profession ensures that they deliver course content in such a manner that is industry driven, current and relevant. This is further cemented by the fact that our course material is moderated by the H.S.I.
Our graduates gain global employment in International hotels, cruise-liners, super yachts, resorts, bars, cafes and restaurants. We also have in house and external recruitment schemes and drives that assist our students to gain employment whilst undertaking their course.
We have worked extremely hard to built strong industry alliances and partnerships with national and international organisations; amongst them are P&O Cruises ®, Auckland International Airport, Sky City Casino. With intakes on a monthly basis, and part time hours that are set to ensure you are able to gain invaluable work experience whilst undertaking your course, we are committed to ensuring you obtain your qualification whilst working within the industry.
Our accreditation with the NZQA also means that as a New Zealand Citizen/Permanent Resident, you may be entitled to a Student Loan, as well as Living Costs and a Student Allowance. We also welcome queries from international students.
The Professional Bar and Restaurant School has campuses located in Auckland and Wellington cities, both conveniently situated in the Central Business Districts.
